Service
Members are required to complete 24 hours of service each semester. 12 hours of NHS service and 12 hours of individual service.
Service is an integral component of the National Honor Society.  Members of the Bingham High School Chapter are expected to perform service on a consistent basis and are required to perform a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of service each semester.
At least twelve (12) of the service hours must be in conjunction with an officially organized NHS service activity.  Opportunities for NHS service hours include recycling classroom paper and cardboard, ushering at designated events, assisting with blood drives, gardening at BHS, and more!  See the NHS calendar on this website for dates and times of planned NHS service activities.
No one other than an NHS Adviser (Mrs. Albrecht, Mrs. Bean, or Mr. Fordham) is authorized sign a service card for NHS service hours.
Due dates for submission of completed service cards is printed on the bottom of the issued service card.
The failure to turn in a properly completed service card on or before the due date each semester is cause for placing a student on NHS probation.
Students who fail to submit a completed service card on or before the due date a second time will be dismissed from the National Honor Society.
