Dance Company Auditions 2022-2023
May 12th and 13th

1st round of auditions:
Date: Thursday May 12th. Time: 3pm - 10pm.
@ Bingham High School in the Dance Studio G-102

Sign your name next to one time slot. Each time slot is 25 minutes and will be monitored to ensure that each group has the same amount of time. There will only be 8 dancers per time slot.
Callbacks will be held May 13th 3pm - 10pm:
No sign ups this day. Everyone on the call back list will need to plan to be in attendance the whole time. A list of callbacks will be posted on the website around 9:00pm - 10:00pm the night of May 12th. The final list will be posted on the website by that Saturday or Sunday.
*All information regarding auditions will be posted on our website. Check it Daily. Audition packets will be on our website in a downloadable PDF. You can also pick them up in the main office at bingham. Auditions are closed and parents will not be allowed in.

- Head shot
- 2nd and 3rd quarter grades
- Application form
- Consent and acknowledgement agreement form
- Insurance card front and back
- Questions for applicants new and old
- 3 teacher recommendations two academic and one dance
- Contract read and signed.
Audition Day Dance Material:
- Students must learn all the material before they come to auditions. There will be videos of each combo they must know on the website. These videos will be uploaded by Friday night May 5th.
- These videos include:
- Kicks: front, side, back, tilts, extension holds etc…
- Leaps: front and side leaps, switch leaps, turn leaps, stags etc…
- Turns: chaines, piques, triple pirouettes, fouettes, etc…
- Combos: Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary will be performed.
- Improvisation prompt given at auditions in the style of Modern.
Dance Clothing Guidelines:
- Footwear: bare feet or foot paws recommended. You may wear jazz or ballet shoes if that is what you are more comfortable dancing in. Tennis shoes may be used for hip hop combo if you prefer.
- Clothing: Must wear tight and fitted dance clothes. You may wear whatever colors you like. No crop tops/sports bras. Tops must cover your stomach. Bottoms must go to mid thigh, no booty shorts or spankies.
- Hair: Can be down or up. Just ask that you have it away from your face. Pull the front back somehow.
Please read through the contract (posted on the website) before making your decision to audition. *We do fundraisers throughout the year. It is possible to pay for Dance Company with the money you raise through these fundraisers. Fundraising and budget information is listed in the contract.
*Summer Practice/Clinic: July 25th - 30th and August 1st- 6th!
