Course Description
This class covers a broad array of subjects pertaining to Music in general, but most particularly it is a Music History course. A large part of the class focuses on improving students' listening skills to all types of music, i.e. classical, jazz, rock 'n roll, rap, country, etc.. The course is part of the General Education Program at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) and it is designed not only to teach the information and skills required by the discipline, but also to develop vital workplace skills and to teach strategies and skills that can be used for life-long learning. It also fulfills the (FA) Fine Arts requirement for General Education at SLCC.
