Course Description

H.E.L.P. Test / Fitness For Life Competency Test
Fitness For Life is a state required high school course which is offered at the high schools. Students will be instructed in life long physical fitness activities and information. They will have the opportunity to learn the five areas of fitness, how to set and achieve goals, and actually participate in activities that will enhance their quality of life as well as extend their life expectancy.
Students may take the Life Fitness H.E.L.P. test (High School Entry Level Placement) also known as a Fitness for Life Competency Test. Students must demonstrate, based on fitness results, a level of competency in physical fitness. The requirements are posted. There is a required fee of $35.
Testing Standards are taken from the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Jordan School District.
