Coach O’Day joins the Miner family bringing an incredible pedigree of success and a lifetime of dedication to the mat. Coach O’Day arrives at Bingham from Bettendorf High School in Bettendorf, Iowa with over 30 years of experience as both an elite competitor and a transformative coach.
Coach O’Day brings a rare level of expertise to Bingham, having lived the sport at its highest level throughout his storied career. As the 1989 NCAA National Champion for his weight class, he possesses a firsthand understanding of what it takes to reach the pinnacle of wrestling, a perspective that is invaluable to student-athletes with championship aspirations. Over three decades of coaching, he has cultivated a reputation for veteran leadership and a deep commitment to developing athletes of all skill levels. By combining his elite competitive background with a proven ability to build winning cultures, Coach O’Day is set to instill a championship mindset that will define the future of our program.
