BALLROOM TEAM Auditions

AUDITION PARENT MEETING MAY 5TH IN THE CHOIR ROOM 7PM!

Auditions:

Date: Thursday May 14th.       Time: 10:30am - 5:30pm. 

@ Bingham High School in the Dance Studio G-102

Each time slot is 25 minutes and will be monitored to ensure that each group has the same amount of time.  There will only be 8 dancers per time slot.  4 male/leaders and 4 female/followers.  If there are not enough dancers to partner per time slot we will provide a partner for you.  Depending on how many dancers sign up per slot you may be asked to change times.

Check the website daily.  All information and new tasks may be given on a daily basis.  Auditions are closed and parents will not be allowed in.

• 2nd and 3rd quarter grades
• Application form
• Consent and acknowledgement agreement form
• Insurance card front and back
• Questions for applicants new and old
• 3 teacher recommendations two academic and one dance
• Contract read and signed. 

Audition Day Dance Material:

• Students must learn all the material before they come to auditions.  There will be videos of each combo they must know on the google classroom.  These videos will be uploaded by MAY 7th.

• They will be asked to do various technique skills across the floor the day of. 

Dance Clothing Guidelines:

•  Footwear: Standard or latin ballroom dance shoe.  If you do not own these you may wear tennis shoes.
• Clothing: Must wear tight and fitted dance clothes. You may wear whatever colors you like. No crop tops/sports bras. Tops must cover your stomach. Bottoms must go to mid thigh, no booty shorts or spankies.
• Hair: long hair pulled back and out of face.

Please read through the contract before making your decision to audition. *We do fundraisers throughout the year. It is possible to pay for Ballroom Team with the money you raise through these fundraisers. Fundraising and budget information is listed in the contract. 

*Summer Practice/Clinic: July 25th - 30th and August 1st - 6th!
