Band Audition Materials

    All audition information and materials for the Bingham Bands are included in the attachments below.  Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble Auditions are in March for the coming school year.  Check back frequently for updates and changes and check the Band Calendar on the home page for actual audition dates and times. 
 
 
 
 
Wind Symphony Auditions:  Use the audition info sheet, treble clef WS sheets or bass clef WS sheets (depending on instrument), and follow the preparation directions.
 
Jazz Ensemble Auditions:  Use the audition info sheet & chord / scale cheat sheets and follow the preparation directions.  Also be prepared to play an improvised solo consisting of several choruses over the 12-bar Bb Blues mp3 provided below.
 
Inter / Adv. Percussion Auditions:  There are no longer auditions required for Intermediate Percussion Ensemble as it is open to all percussionists new to Bingham.  However, the prerequisite for Advanced Percussion Ensemble is one year of Intermediate Percussion Ensemble.
 
Drum Line Auditions:   Prepare the appropriate drum line and pit etude(s).  Auditions for Winter Drum Line usually take place in early-mid December, and auditions for the upcoming year's Fall Drum Line usually occur in May.  Check the Band Calendar on the home page for actual audition dates and times.
